Little Miss Independence: Kaitlyn and Brynn (and they are not even 2 yet!)
We had a busy and fun day here. All except Rich that is. He was stuck at the hospital, but luckily this call day will get us all an extra day in Utah! He can use it as a bonus day in August when we go home.
We went to the pool this morning for two hours with Jonni Badger and her three kids. My girls thought the cold big pool was torture, but enjoyed the baby pool more especially when the sun came out from the cloud cover. Even without the sun it was hot and very humid.
We went to McDonalds with the Badger's for lunch and the boys had a ball playing with the Luke and Sadie on the playland.
We went to two different BBQ's at ward members houses. The first was at the Brook's (6-7:30) the second was at the Warner's (7:30-9). I had talked to both at church and thought they were planning one together, but it didn't work out that way. I felt bad just going to one and the boys were happy to see a wide variety of friends. It was a wild night chasing two toddlers around other people's homes, but luckily Kaitlyn is getting quite good at the stairs so I wasn't as terrified of her falling down them and they managed to stay close by most of the time which helped.
We ended the day with Rich coming home. Hurray! And the boys got to blast our fireworks with our cul-de-sac families until the rain finally won out. We will have to do the big finale tomorrow!
Happy Independence Day.
