A little bit of Love

How can you add a little bit of happiness, color, spice and LOVE into the bleak, dreary days of January? Pull out the Valentine's decor and get celebrating early. We have added a little bit of LOVE into our clothes,Our toys,Our food, and all around the house. We love "Heart Day" around here and will be sad when we have to take it all down!

Book of Mormon Fiesta Night

Our ward's activity committee plan the most amazing ward parties. Last night we went to the church for a Book of Mormon Fiesta. Our Bishop had challenged the ward to read the Book of Mormon and complete it by January 1, 2010. This night was to celebrate. We had dinner, completed Book of Mormon word searches, trivia questions, made warrior headbands and necklaces and played various games (a lot involved throwing items at things- which my kids loved). We had a great time together and appreciated all the hard work that so many put into this fun activity.

Zach

Game Night

We had a Nance sibling gift exchange on Christmas and Rhett bought this game (with help from my mom). Jeff and Sarah ended up winning it, but they opened it up and let everyone play. It is our new favorite game. You have 10 wooden blocks that you use to build patterns on cards. It's a race against the clock, so it is fast pace and very exciting. If you are looking for a great game that will also help your child use cognitive and building skills and hand eye coordination look no further. Plus its very, very fun to play.

Lexington Gymnastics and Cheerleading

The girls had their second gymnastics class today. I took my camera again since the pictures from their first class turned out quite blurry. Kaitlyn enjoyed it much more and thankfully didn't have to do any forward rolls (still working on mastering that skill). They did handstand using the wall, back bends over large round floor pieces and different types of jumps on the trampoline, but their favorite part by far is free time! Makes me wonder why I didn't just come for open gym?!
