Jazz Game

For the past three years, on December 26th we have attended the Jazz Game with Rich's family in Salt Lake City. We have a blast and we are ALL there- babies and all. Rich's dad rents a suite which is quite the treat and departure from our meager medical resident existence when an family outing to Wendy's is a splurge.
We loved the new high tech lighting system. Opening tip off.The suite comfortable holds all of us. There is a bathroom, closet, sitting area and then seats below. There is so much food. This year we had beef and pork, chips and dip, popcorn, salad, rolls, nuts, candies, veggies and drinks. It is quite the feast. Before the game, Rich went up early with the boys and thanks to our brother in law Charlie he was able to have passes to go to shoot around, meet the players and get autographs. I was kicking myself that in the rush to get them to the game I forgot to send the camera. Matt is wearing his pass that let him in and the players signed. It was a treat for Rich to go early because his friend and old Stanford teammate Brevin Knight is on Jazz. Rich keeps up with Brevin and texted him that they were coming. Brevin is such a great guy and has given us tickets and after the game passes for years. We drove up to Indianapolis a few years ago when he was on the Bobcats and watched him play the Pacers.Trey and MattJosh. This game might possibly be the highlight of Josh's year. The first thing he thought of when we were unsure we would be coming home for Christmas was the fact he would miss the Jazz game. That might have killed him. He has a Boozer jersey and t-shirt he wears once a week to school in Lexington. Kaitlyn Brynn

The girls A chef came and made us some delicious fruit topping for the ice cream.
So if you think the suite was cool this is awesome too. My brother in law Charlie, who is married to Rich's sister Julianne, is a member of the 100 Club and has season Jazz tickets on the FIRST ROW. Yup, Row 1 baby. Like I said, this night is like living a high roller life of a superstar. Very fun. He lets us all rotate throughout the game and sit in his four seats. Josh sat down with him during the first quarter. I went down with Rich and his parents for the third quarter and Rich ended up staying down for the fourth quarter as well. I felt like one of the camera men or press bunch taking so many photos so close to the players Our suite was above the Verizon sign.
Jarron Collins played at Stanford a few years after Rich graduated. We have met him a few times over the years and is a great guy. Rich's mom was hollering his name, but he didn't notice us. Brevin didn't play during the second half, but we waved to him while he was shooting after half time. He had his family in town from New Jersey and his in laws as well. They rented a house up in Park City for the holidays.Dirk NowitskiJason Kidd
Andrei Kirilenko I told Rich I recognized the player in the jacket. He was a new addition since last year, when the Jazz played the Mavericks on the 26th and we were there. It was Gerald Green. He told me he won the dunk contest in 2007. His watch was pure BLING! Crazy diamonds.Yup, that is where I had seen him. (Photo via Internet.)Jazz won the Mavericks. A night to remember! Thanks Dad and Mom and Charlie!

Wow...front row seats. Awesome.

We've sat in those boxes for various events and there is NO better place to view something. With the food, private bathrooms and ability to walk around.....perfect - especially with kids.

I actually secretly would die if Jim was a huge Jazz fan, though, there are WAY too many professional basketball games per season for my taste. We have quite a few dental friends who have great season tickets...it's quite a commitment with that many games.
