Desperate....

FOR SNOW!
I just happened to buy three sleds at Wal-mart yesterday, thinking maybe someday when we got a bit of snow the boys could finally go sledding and use our own equipment.

When church ended at 2 PM we found that snowflakes had begun to fall, but none were sticking to the ground. The boys crossed every finger in hopes the would be able to use their new sleds soon.

After a long, lazy afternoon, with bits of sunshine here and there, we opened up the garage at 8:30 PM to wave to Rich as he headed back to the hospital for another night of call. The boys found what they had been hoping for- just a bit of white covered the ground. And they knew it was enough.

With their church clothes on and no coats in sight, they had a party there in the darkness slipping and sliding on the cold, frozen cement of our driveway. They were delighted. The girls giggled and jumped up and down in the garage with excitement. And I laughed at my funny, insane and snow crazed cuties.
Just barely enough....The girls saw the boys were out having fun, so they dashed upstairs and opened their winter drawer. Kaitlyn brought down her scarf,
While Tink brought down one red shoe, one black shoe, gloves and a tutu for a shawl. Brilliant. One more thing. Beware of cold frozen driveways. They are still very hard, even with a whopping 1/8 of an inch of snow covering them.
Ouch! (But totally worth it!)

I love that they are still in their church cloths. I need to be a little more relaxed as a mom!

I love Brynn!! So stinkin cute! Really I can't wait to see what she'll be like as a teenager, total trend setter.

I agree with Nancy. Well not that she needs to be more relaxed but I love that they are still in their church clothes. Mac's the same way.
