Grandparents

When we head back west, the one thing I look forward to the most is seeing family.  They are what I miss the most.  We had a wonderful time seeing all the Grandparents and look forward to being closer so we can make our visits a regular occurrence.
Grandpa and Grandma "Black Hair" and Great-grandma Jackson
Grandpa and Grandma Nance (aka: Kurt and Rhett's Mom and Dad)
Great-grandma Jackson
Grandma Jackson's birthday is March 26, one day after the girls'.  Rich teased his Grandma that if they were born on her birthday we'd name one Mary and one Ellen.  That really wasn't the plan, but we missed her day by 14 hours, so we were able to name them what we had intended.  Grandma had a large 90th birthday celebration and we were lucky enough to attend.  Rich's mom played the violin and they sang to Brynn and Kaitlyn and then to Grandma and she let the girls blow out her candles.  It was wonderful to be with Grandma, Rich's parents and Uncle Scott, Aunt Suzie and Aunt Nancy. (Sadly Josh wasn't feel well and went home from the mall with Rich's mom and was at their house resting.  He was missed!)

Grandma "White Hair"  (aka Great-grandma Nance)
We made our usual Sunday night visit to see Grandma Nance.  Grandma gave the girls their birthday cards.  The kids played with same toys I played with as a child.  Matt gave Grandma a hug and headed down to the basemen to play with the world coolest army men.  They were my dad's!!  Grandma read stories and the kids left with their cup of Skittles.  A perfect night.

Grandpa and Grandma Larsen
(aka: Grandpa and Grandma with the Legos).  My mom came with us and we brought Wendy's for lunch.  Zach took a liking to Grandpa.  Rich met us after he finished up his new job paperwork.  Moments like these are the ones I miss the most while living away.

We can't wait to move back and be closer to the Grandparents and let the kids be part of their lives.  We also are excited to visit with Grandma Hansen when we moved back in a few months.
