A day at the races

After spending our morning at the Shiekh's farm, we ventured out to Keeneland to see a few horse races. It was perfect timing, since Greg and Kate got a quick Thoroughbred 101 at the farm. The weather was gorgeous. The first post time was 1 PM and they were running the races at a faster pace. We were able to watch three races before we had to head back home so we were there when the boys got off the bus.Kate, Kaitlyn, Brynn and GregA lady asked me if we had won as she saw me take this picture. No, we did not. I told her not to bet on the purple or pink silk horses (Brynn and Kaitlyn's picks). They were not lucky. My only bet ($2) was on a green silk horse for Matt. He was in first place for nearly the entire race, but another horse pulled ahead near the finish line to win.We waited patiently after the second race and pushed our way right up to the track. We were surprised when the starting gates were pushed right in front of us.Go Baby Go!
