Bi-Water Farm

What is fall without a visit to a pumpkin patch? We had been to three different farms while living here in Lexington. We have enjoyed each and their differences. We heard good things about a fourth farm out in Georgetown and decided to give it a try this time.

It was the first day of our Fall Break and the rain and cool temperatures kept most folks inside. Well, at least away from a wet, cold, muddy farm. We only saw seven other people in our three hours there and they came when we were nearly done with our visit.

Bi-Water Farm is huge and was much more than a place to buy pumpkins. They have 'Autumn Fest' that includes various themed areas: 5 acre corn maze, petting zoo, Spooky Farmhouse, Bunnyville, Lost Pumpkin Mine, Pirates Cove, Duck Derby, Sky High Slide, a market selling fresh produce, gourds and pumkins and hayrides. It was too muddy for hayrides out to the corn maze and pumkpin patch, so we simply walked instead.

Three hours later we had covered the place from beginning to end and were properly covered in mud from the bottom of our shoes clear up to our knees, though Trey probably had some on his upper body after a specatular (and somewhat intential) fall during the incredibly muddy corn maze. I did require that shoes and jeans were removed before entering the car (another bonus for the parking lot to be empty). We wrapped up our day with an McDonald's ice cream run with the heater on full blast.

Good times.
Classic Trey

How great to get the place to yourself. It reminds me a lot of Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point here (which we still need to get to this year).

Darling pictures of the kids.
