Twilight in Rome

Monday-Friday last week from 5:45 PM- 9 PM (except Wednesday, when we had a swim meet) Trey participated in Twilight in Rome Cub Scout Camp held at Masterston Station Park. Scout troops from all over Lexington gathered for a week of scouting activities and adventure.

Trey got a t-shirt, shot BB guns and arrows, made shields and swords, built acqueducts, made a mini catapult, learned about ancient Rome and the people and loved it all. The boys watched leaders dressed in costumes battle and had various group activites that often involved water. They dug for gold coins in the "Fridgeatarium" which consisted of small pools and lots of ice. Burrr!!

Friday was family night. We all came (Rich met us there when he finished work) and all the siblings made swords and shields, battled and got hosed down by a firetruck. It was quite the week. Luckily for me, five other boys in the ward went so we carpooled. I only had to drive a few of the nights and then on Friday. Trey had a great experience, passed off a few scout requirements and Josh and Matt are eager to participate with Trey next year.

Is it bad if I get tired just thinking about starting getting started in the scout program this fall?

Yeah that run on sentence didn't make one bit of sense. Sorry.
