Park Day

For the past month, the students at Veterans Park have been earning stickers for Park Day. For at least 20 out of 25 days you had to be on time, turn in all homework, not leave early, and not pull tickets (discipline system). If you missed any of these items you would not earn your sticker for the day.

The reward was big. Hours and hours outdoors spent playing with friends, having a picnic, eating popsicles and not doing school work!
Today was the much anticipated day. The boys played outside from 10:30 AM- 1:30 PM. The girls and I joined them for lunch and for the festivities. Josh and Matt's classes were around the playground. We ate lunch.Josh played baseball.Matt played football.Brynn played on the swings. The girls LOVED the playground.
We hugged Josh and Matt goodbye and went off to search for Trey. His class was over at Veteran's Park, which is just a short walk from the school (though we drove). The 2nd-5th graders were there. It was madness!
The girls were so excited when we spotted his bright orange shirt.Hunter and Trey (Can you tell it was HOT?!)Brynn loved her wild Daisy we found walking with Trey.
Trekking back to school. Thanks boys for letting us share your big day with you!
