New Arrival

Our New Arrival - name to be announced at a later date!
August 12, 2009
6:05 am
8 lbs. 5 oz.
21 1/2 inches

University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center

Mother and baby are doing well! Special thanks to Ashlee Millar for answering a frantic phone call from Cheryl at 3:00 am this morning and spending the night and morning of the first day of school with Trey, Josh, Matt, Brynn and Kaitlyn. Seriously, we would have been in BIG trouble without Ashlee. We can't thank you enough.

There will be more pictures on the way. Thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers on our behalf. Thanks to our mothers for helping us get through some first trimester challenges back in February and March.

And now we will get back to working on a name, an 8 passenger van and the first day of school.

Thank you for everything,

Rich and Cheryl

What a wonderful surprise to see this morning!

CONGRATULATIONS! We are thrilled for you.

Absolute craziness to have it happen on the first day of school. Are you kidding me??? It just makes it all the more memorable.

I hope we'll be getting more pictures soon. So glad to hear it all went well.

With all the exitement of talking to you, I forgot to tell you that today is Gage's birthday, so your little boy was born on the same day. Maybe you should name him Gage! Congrats to your whole family and especially to you for being an amazing mother already. That is one lucky boy to come to your family.

Hooray!!! I shouldn't have been surprised to see that you already have something posted on your blog.

Rich must know exactly how your boys feel about you being gone for the first day of school...Taylor was born the day before Rich's first day of jr. high. I think he was pretty traumatized. But what doesn't kill ya, makes you stronger...right Rich?

I wish I was there to breath in that sweet new-baby-smell, and pinch those sweet cheeks! We are so excited for you!

LOVES,
Jenny and crew

He's beautiful!!! I had so much fun with your kids today. I was so impressed with them. They take such good care of one another. You guys are great parents and I can't wait to see what this little guy brings to the Jackson family.

Congratulations on his safe arrival! I guess this means he turned and you didn't have to have a c-section?! Last I'd heard he was feet first, but that could have been a while ago. He does have his own look, but at first glance I thought he looked a lot like Josh. You make such beautiful children.

I can't believe he arrived on the first day of school! Of course something like that would happen to you. Of all people I know, you'd handle it with finesse. We had our first day of school here too. It was tough enough for us to get ONE kid off to school for the first time and BE on time! Throw in two more kids, two adorable three year olds and oh, just having a baby, and there you have it! Amazing Cheryl! Wish I were there to hold him (or at least help you with the others!).

Way to go baby boy! He wasn't about to be out done with the excitement of the first day of school. He knew his arrival needed to be special and really make his presence known! He's a smart kid already!
