Glendover Basketball All-Stars 2010

Josh was selected as one of the 2nd grade Glendover League All-Star players. There were three teams and they played in a round robin this past weekend. Josh's team was the Lightning. They played on Friday and Saturday night and won both games, making them the All Star tournament winner. Josh played great. He had nine points in the first game and eight points in the second game, making him the leading scorer of tournament.

Josh has really improved over the course of the season because of his love and dedication to the game. He can often be found out front in the drizzly rain, freezing subzero temperatures or intensely fierce wind working hard on his game. All afternoon I can hear the thunk, thunk, thunk of the basketball on our driveway. He would stay outside until he made one hundred free throws. His willingness to work hard was impressive and it showed when he plays. He has a soft touch when shooting and is great at getting rebounds and making his free throws. He had a few steals in the game and many passes, but most importantly he always has a great attitude, good heart and wants his whole team to succeed. That makes me the most proud of all.
