Celebrate the Arts Night

Celebrate the Arts Night showcases art work by every student at Veterans Park Elementary School, has student musicians playing in the hallways, hosts a book fair, PTA silent auction and lower primary (K-1) chorus performance.Josh created cool hand print piece.Matt had a written assignment on display which earned a 4 (highest mark).Trey and his lovely pumpkins.Matt's very cool snowman. The girls LOVE going to the boys school.Josh's handome self portraitEveryone was eager to check out the book fair. We escaped with only a Mad Libs book ($1.50) and an Alice and Wonderland book ($3.99). Whew! The silent auction was huge. Thousands of dollars was raised for the PTA, which will dump the money back into the school. Never in my life will I see a public school that's PTA budget is over $50,000. That's insane money! My favorite items for sale were the class platters that were made using the students thumb prints. They went between $50- $80 a piece.Josh's class Matt's class Trey's class
