Honors Program

At the end of every grading period, all 4th and 5th grade students that earned all A's and B's on their report cards are recognized at the Honors Program. The students that earned A's and B's are given Patriot Club certificates and coupons for free ice cream, food and prizes. All students that have all A's are members of the 'A-Team' and given more prizes than the other group. I had to laugh that one of their extra items was a University of Kentucky Men's Basketball poster. Classic VPE brainwashing the kids to Bleed Blue. I think it's hilarious, but have come to love it.

Trey was so excited for us to come, since the first time he was recognized, I didn't know what a big deal it was or that parents were invited to attend. The girls and Zach and I had a great time watching Trey receive his award and loved spending time with him at the end while he ate his treat and they called out names for prizes.

I love that Veterans Park Elementary pushes their students to work hard and excel and then rewards them when they succeed.

Great job Trey! We love you!
