Last Friday our ward playgroup met a local fire station for a tour. We learned about fire trucks (ladder trucks and hose trucks), the equipment used, clothing and safety tips.I realized I had never toured a fire station that I could remember. The girls liked the trucks and gear, but enjoyed seeing many of their friends from church just as much. Sweet Zach snoozed through it all.
I truly believe firemen are true heroes, running straight in to dangerous situations when all others are running out. I am grateful to have such brave men and women who risk their lives on a daily basis to save others.
